Characterised by expansion

A constantly expanding business. It is difficult to characterise Science Park Aarhus in any other way. However, the dynamic growth that has characterised the business since its foundation in 1986 has also given rise to a dilemma. Had the name of the business not been so highly respected, it might have been relevant to change it. The fact is that due to its continuous expansion, Science Park Aarhus outgrew premises at Gustav Wieds Vej long ago for which reason the Science Park, with more than 600 people employed by 56 companies, also has premises elsewhere.

Still, the name has been retained.
The work on the construction of Science Park Skejby will commence in the spring of 2002 – with the aim of moving into the buildings, which occupy an area of 5,000 square-metres, before the end of 2003.

The new premises, budgeted at DKK 90 million, are intended to attract both entrepreneurs and large businesses in need of a medical research environment, including the neighbouring hospitals Skejby Sygehus and Aarhus University Hospital.
While Science Park Skejby is under construction, another department has already been opened at Katrinebjerg in northern Århus in the shape of a new IT building covering 1,500 square metres. Erik Jantzen, Managing Director, makes no attempt to hide his intentions: to challenge Copenhagen!
