The staff includes prosthetists and orthotists, who are responsible for patient contact, as well as orthopaedists, who possess the necessary technical expertise and skills in the centre’s workshops. Thanks to technological advances, it is now possible to make, for example, computer-controlled prostheses and lightweight orthoses using carbon fibre.
The centre was established in Randers and today includes ten departments in Jutland. In the spring of 2002, the Risskov department will take over the neighbouring property, thereby more than doubling the size of the premises.
The new complex in Risskov will house the entire administration as well as a new orthopaedic shoemaker’s workshop. .
