The many thousands of citizens of Århus who every day enjoy the sight of the newly re-established fountain Agnete and the Merman near the city hall probably do not think about the fact that it was the company Henrik Bock Århus A/S which was in charge of the electrical aspects of the restoration work. Even if the restoration of the fountain – which has thus regained its position in the city – was not one of the biggest jobs undertaken by the Egå-based company, it was definitely one of the most interesting, according to manager, Henrik Bock. In order to make the fountain to be seen to the best advantage when illuminated by the fountain lamps, the company had to rely on old drawings.

It is no coincidence that Henrik Bock was entrusted with this task. The company already had well-established relations with the Municipality of Århus. Thus, a number of the company’s employees are permanently engaged in repairing and maintaining the electrical installations at the town hall and at the regional municipal offices. This service also covers the municipal computer network developed by Henrik Bock, who has specialised in this area. Another important area of activity for Henrik Bock is electrical installations in new residential buildings and institutions. The company’s biggest task so far is the contract for the electrical work on the new art museum in Århus. In order to attend to the varied types of tasks involved in such projects, the company depends on a highly mobile workforce of approximately 50 employees and a fleet of some 20 vehicles.
