With all due respect to the ice cream products on display in the frozen food counter, a genuine and handmade ice cream cone is still a favourite with most consumers, regardless of their age. In this connection there is every reason to think kindly of Frima Vafler A/S. Since the company was established in 1958, Frima has been based at various addresses in Åbyhøj, Brabrand and, since November 2001, in Tilst. However, the quality which, since the beginning, has characterised the company’s product line of cones and baskets for the ice cream industry has always been maintained.

This explains Frima’s leading position in the industry. The cones produced at the newly-built factory in Tilst are popular not only in Denmark, but also abroad, resulting in approx. 60 million cones and baskets being produced every year. 60 per cent of this production is exported to a number of European countries and the United States. Ice cream stalls make up the main purchasers, but chains like McDonalds and Möwenpick are also very appreciative of the Frima products, because of their unmistakable "homemade" feel, due to the use of butter as well as real vanilla. The demand for ice cream cones is largely seasonal and consequently 80 per cent of Frima’s sales are generated in the summer period from May to August.
