In a number of ways the world is not changing for the better. Paradoxically, this is one of the reasons why Ingv. Michelsen A/S is a future-oriented company.
What started as a locksmith’s workshop more than 100 years ago has since become a company producing steel doors and gates for protection against fire, noise, burglary and terror.
The prominent position held in this area by the order-producing company in Holme near Århus goes back to 1951, when master smith Ingvard Michelsen obtained approval for the first fire door in Denmark from Statsprøveanstalten, the approval authority of that time. Today, production and development are subject to the control of the Danish Institute of Fire and Security Technology.
