In 2003, Århus becomes a little bigger. Welcome to Bruun’s Galleri! The art of shopping … ... that is the concept of Bruun’s Galleri, a new shopping and entertainment centre which from the autumn of 2003 will make Århus a little bit bigger. It will be far from a shopping centre in the conventional sense of the word, but rather a covered town space with a main shopping street and side streets at different levels – and with lots of daylight. A new gallery of shops with a difference, which will appeal to the senses and offer a wide variety of changing interiors and displays and inspiring shopping. Quality is the keyword, both in the architectural style and for the shops and their presentation of goods and services.

A new and lively part of town, which will bring together and expand the city centre, at the same time. Situated as it will be on the site of the former central workshops of the Danish State Railways, Bruun’s Galleri will be a link between the atmospheric Frederiksbjerg and the existing pedestrian shopping district. A myriad of possibilities, where traditional shop concepts are mixed with new concepts which have not been represented in Århus so far.

Large anchor shops within, e.g. sports and electronics will dominate Level 1 together with an exciting grocery store concept, which will combine the best of the conventional supermarket with organics, freshly processed raw ingredients and delicatessen. With its approximately 45 shops, Level 2 will provide a wide variety of choice – including specialist shops for young people and an international fashion chain selling trendy brands within clothing and accessories. Level 3 will house a number of attractive cafés, restaurants and cinemas. All of which will contribute to putting the focus on entertainment when Bruun’s Galleri opens in 2003.
