Even though the electricity utility Viby El-værk a.m.b.a. is a co-owner of the electricity generating company Elsam, electricity for customers in Viby is bought on the Nordic electricity bourse. “What we must ensure at all times is that our customers are supplied with the cheapest possible electricity, while at the same time being guaranteed a stable and reliable electricity supply,” explains Sven Heegaard, Manager of Viby Elværk.
Viby El-værk not only supplies electricity to 12,000 consumers, but also runs an installation department with a well-assorted shop selling all types of electrical articles as well as household appliances.

With approximately 70 employees, we undertake all types of electrical installations – large and small.
The striking yellow vans with their blue-and-white logo are on the road 24 hours a day, while Viby El-værk’s call centre is staffed round the clock – guaranteeing that emergencies can be handled at all times of the day or night.
The most visible part of Viby El-værk’s activities is its shop, El-Salgs-butikken, at the address Skanderborgvej 178, near Viby Torv.
