The Department of Industrial Development of the County of Aarhus has launched a new and improved version of the ePort consultancy system at www.eport.dk . The consultancy system is targeted at entrepreneurs as well as small and medium-sized companies.

For instance, you can get free assistance with establishing your own business, financial support for product development, assistance with the preparation of a business plan, assistance with accounting and much more.

Every week at ePort, you will find fresh and updated business news from the region’s business service providers . The latest articles and news items are shown on ePort’s front page and are later stored in an article database. Every organisation connected to ePort has the possibility of presenting articles and news at the site.

The entrepreneurial contact point, IværksætterKontaktpunkt Aarhus Amt, is a cooperation between the entrepreneurial centres Randers Business & Development Council, the Business Development Centre (EUC) Silkeborg, the Centre for Business Development (CVU), the Technical College of Grenaa, Business and Training Centre Hammel and the Technological Information Centre of the County of Aarhus. Furthermore, the Business Association of Hadsten and PROCON are affiliated to the Contact Point. The Business Department of the County of Aarhus coordinates and manages the Contact Point, and is responsible, for example, for all contact with the Danish Agency for Development of Trade and Industry.

Approximately 1,800 new companies start up in the county every year, but after four years, only about 43 per cent of them still remain. Studies carried out by the Danish Agency for Development of Trade and Industry show that the survival rate is improved significantly if the entrepreneur receives entrepreneurial advice, including the preparation of business plans to establish whether the business concept is viable. The advice is tailored to each individual entrepreneur in order to best meet his or her particular needs.
