The Danish Technological Institute is an approved technological service institute with 1,000 employees. Its business areas include advisory services, testing, supplementary training, research and development.
The Institute has five divisions.

The Building Technology Division deals with technological and management service in the fields of building and construction, material technology relating to concrete, tiles, bricks, wood and textiles, and constructional design and process technology relating to components made of these materials.



The Energy Division contributes to minimising the consumption of energy by private individuals and the transport sector. The Energy Division also assists Danish companies in improving their competitiveness with regard to energy.

The Industrial Development Division deals with business pioneering, creativity, management and organisation, e-business, industrial analyses, labour market analyses and regional industrial development.

The Industry Division concentrates on applied information technology, development of new materials, products and production processes, packaging and transport.

The activities of the Environment Division are base on expertise relating to biotechnology, chemical technology and environmental technology.
